Church Life
Santa Barbara Community Church offers three services on Sundays with a time of teaching, worship, and fellowship. Service times are at 10am, 4pm and 6pm. We offer an ASL sign interpreter for the hearing impaired at our 4pm services. We are located at 1002 Cieneguitas, Santa Barbara, CA 93110. Our 4pm service is preceded by a half-hour of prayer, which begins at 3:30pm. Please join us. All are welcome. The leadership equips members of the church to provide childcare for infants and toddlers at all three of our services. In addition, there is a Children's Ministries program with worship, play and Bilbical instruction for pre-school aged children through 4th grade at both the 10:00am and 4:00pm services. The youth program (which includes 5th/6th, Jr. High and High School) takes place at the 4pm service. There is childcare for infants and toddlers and a limited multi-age Sunday School class (preschool-1st grade) at the 6:00pm service. A substantial part of our church life are our mid-week Homegroups. These are times of more intimate fellowship, study and worship. Participation in these groups in highly encouraged, as a large part of our body life stems from these weekly meetings. Santa Barbara Community Church is involved in a variety of ministries in our community and throughout the world. A partial list of ministries include: Goleta Homework Club, Young Life, InterVarsity, World Relief, Life Medical, and New Tribes. In addition, we partner with a sister church in La Pradera, Tegucigalpa, Honduras, we support Byron and Lisa Borden as missionaries to Tanzania and Scott and Donna Grandi who are involved with IDEAS. All members of the community are encouraged to be involved in these and other ministries. Please go to the Missions section of our website under Church Life to check out a list of all the missionaries and ministries we support on a monthly basis. For a list of some current opportunities and needs in our church and local Christian organizations, pick up our "How Can I Help?" brochure on the Welcome Table at church, or see our "How Can I Help" page to get involved. Your questions and comments about the life of our body are welcome. Please feel free to contact the pastors of the church. © 2002 - 2010, Santa Barbara Community Church |
