JOB DESCRIPTION
NURSE MANAGER
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
In conjunction with staff nurse responsibilities, under supervision of the Medical Director, the Nurse
Manager shall oversee the provision of client care and medical services operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
� Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior & Lord.
� Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of all human life.
� Agree with and uphold the Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle, and the policies of Life Network.
� Be licensed as a registered nurse in the State of California.
� Have a bachelor�s or master�s degree in nursing or equivalent experience.
� Have two years of experience in nursing.
� Exhibit strong interpersonal and administrative skills.
� Proficient in computer technology.
� Willingness to assist with other tasks and projects as needed.
� Limited Obstetrical Ultrasound a plus (not required).
REPORTS TO: Executive Director and Medical Director
SUPERVISES: Volunteer medical personnel
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Patient Care:
a. Review record to check for the Intake Form and Consent for Performance of Medical Services and
Release and Liability form
b. Meet with the client and review Medical Services Patient Instructions form and the medical procedure
c. Record client�s Medical History and vital signs in the record. Place Health Care Provider Order &
Exam Report in the record
d. Meet with client after the exam for pregnancy consultation, education and referrals
e. Arrange and provide client follow-up
2. Medical Services Operations:
a. Review client records at the end of each day
b. Ensure that medical equipment is properly operated and maintained
c. Maintain staff personnel records and schedule
d. Assist in staff annual CPR review, infection control regulations, and continuing education
e. Perform and verify pregnancy testing
f. Train medical staff
3. Emergencies:
a. Emergency calls � Refer caller to a local hospital emergency room, or to their own physician, and
advise to call 911
b. If current Life Network client - consult with the Medical Director or the health care provider on-site
c. Medical emergency on-site - follow the procedures for Medical Emergencies
4. Continuing Education:
a. Comply with State and professional licensing continuing education requirements
b. Annual review of Life Network policies and procedures, and infection control regulations
c. Biannual renewal of CPR certification
d. Training in limited obstetrical ultrasound Employment
